It's difficult for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the peak baggers, are what's still available for a team that has accomplished all there is.

That it took as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batters to hold a record if never given the chance.

In the end, the result of Australia giving up 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to create her most recent brilliance.

Originally famous as the 19-year-old niece of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her country couldn't capture either of the T20 or ODI World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

A T20 World Cup win happened three months after her first appearance and seven global championships have come from 10 tries across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was also there in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India temporarily stopped the run of success.

That loss "drove us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy stated recently.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the final and was declared player of the series. She guaranteed her country would not fall short again.

Whether this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement is debatable.

Many contend the argument supporting championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was considerably tougher to anticipate.

A single was taken off the bowler's initial ball and from there the right-hander was underway.

"An opportunity to go out there and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment in that aspect, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her quickest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was removed the team required another 66 at one run per ball - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the belief to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we believe we can do it."

These statements will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will win from any position has only strengthened - this success following success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they exited last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at an important competition.
